Step#1
Use your iPad and Computer to create a research report on the college Colorado School of Mines. You can click here to go to the official school site. See below for the details of what your research report needs.
Step#2
Create a Google Document in a research report format. See below for details:
Paragraph 1- Explain where the school is and some of the history. Use at least 2 sources to construct this paragraph. Make sure to cite whenever you are using information from a website.
Paragraph 2- Explain what majors are offered at the school. Go in to detail into 2 or 3 majors explaining what these majors are in detail. Also mention any sport programs or extra curricular clubs or activities. Cite if borrowing any work from a site.
Paragraph 3- Write about the pros and cons about attending this school. For example, one con might be the size of the school.
Paragraph 4- Write a conclusion paragraph that summarizes everything you mentioned in paragraphs 1-3.
*Make sure to share what you type with me at: mrlunascience@gmail.com
3. Create a digital collage with pictures from the University of Mines. Share it with me at: mrlunascience@gmail.com
See the picture below for an example of a college collage of UCLA.

Step#1
Go to the app store and look for free apps that you haven't heard much of for each subject (Math, Science, English and History)
Read about the app (reviews, information from maker, etc) and download it if it is free. Spend at least 10 minutes with the app and decide if it is worthy enough to share with the whole school and would be of benefit to help someone with that subject. If you think it is useful, move on to step#2
Step#2
Write a review using the iPad app Pages OR Google Word. Your review of the app or website must be between 150-250 words. No matter how you choose to create the articles, share it with me via email to: mrlunascience@gmail.com
Here is an example review of the NASA app by the Commonsense media website. Notice how the review mentions what age the app is intended for and they rate the quality using a 5 star system. Do the same for your review.
Step#2
Christmas is coming sooner than you think. Choose a new product coming out and preview the product by providing a release date (if you know it), why YOU think it will be the next hot item and a description of what the product can do. Your article must be between 125-250 words. We will edit these articles so that they fit the template for our paper.
Step#3
Think of three interesting controversial/interesting topics that are popular today. Type in your suggestions of the 3 topics by clicking here. A team of 3 or 4 will use their iPads to take a survey sample to see what O'Donovan students think about the survey question. Below is an example controversial question that could be used:
Example: "Should owning medical insurance be mandatory?"
