Step#1

Step#2
Think of three controversial or interesting topics that are popular today. Type in your suggestions of the 3 topics by clicking here. A team of 3 or 4 will use their iPads to take a survey sample to see what O'Donovan students think about the survey question. Below is an example controversial question that could be used:

Example: "Should owning medical insurance be mandatory?"

Step#3
Choose one of the following.

1. Look up what new T.V. shows are being released this fall. Based on any videos or articles you see or find, write a short 150-200 word review using pages or Google Word. Share it with mrlunascience@gmail.com when you are done. Use a 1-5 (Five being best) rating in your review.

2.You may download the Trailers app from the app store to see what new movies are coming soon. Do a web search and read up on the upcoming movie using sites such as rotten tomatoes or yahoo movies. You may watch some of the trailers and write a review using google word or pages. Send me your 150-250 word review to mrlunascience@gmail.com. Use a 1-5 (Five being best) rating in your review.

Step#4
Christmas is coming sooner than you think. Choose a new product coming out and preview the product by providing a release date (if you know it), why YOU think it will be the next hot item and a description of what the product can do. Your article must be between 125-250 words. We will edit these articles so that they fit the template for our paper.

STL Digital Agenda for August 29th

Step#1
Below is a picture of the work I have for some students. If your name does not appear, your grade has dropped and I want to discuss with you one on one why you haven't turned in work on time. Moving forward, if you needed a time extension you need to email me or talk to me and reach out if you don't know how to do something or if you are confused.

If your name is not on the list above, you must finish your work and share it by today the latest or you will receive an "NP". Do not move on to step#2 until you finish your Newspaper articles/College Board Essay. You have the rest of the advisory to finish.

Step#2
Click here to input your STL email (the email that you are using to do work and communicate with teachers).

Step#3
Share your college board essay/newspaper article with an elbow partner STL (ask them for their email) and write at least 3 comments (positive or how they can improve).

Step#4
You may:
1. Read a book
2. Work on homework for another class.

Step#1
Go to the app store and look for free apps that you haven't heard much of for each subject (Math, Science, English and History)
Read about the app (reviews, information from maker, etc) and download it if it is free. Spend at least 10 minutes with the app and decide if it is worthy enough to share with the whole school and would be of benefit to help someone with that subject. If you think it is useful, move on to step#2

Step#2
Write a review using the iPad app Pages OR Google Word. Your review of the app or website must be between 150-250 words.  No matter how you choose to create the articles, share it with me via email to: mrlunascience@gmail.com

Here is an example review of the NASA app by the Commonsense media website. Notice how the review mentions what age the app is intended for and they rate the quality using a 5 star system. Do the same for your review.

Step#2
