Agenda for May 9-13th

Step#1
Robotics Group: We will go over details of what you are working on as a group.




Coding Group: You are to use Khan academy coding (click here for the link). Make sure to create an account if you don't have one in order for it to save your progress. Also, use the coding tracker to see how many lessons you complete and describe each lesson briefly.




College Board Group: 

Start by watching the video below:





You are to create a college board booklet, like we usually do. However, what goes on the board is a little different (see picture below)



If you are done with the booklet, you will create a Google presentation that includes the following:

1. What are your top 3 college choices?
2. What do you want to study there?
3. What GPA do you need as a minimum to apply to this college?




8th grade digital portfolio Group: You need to complete the following in order to walk the stage.






Here is the link to the files you need. Today start off by creating a Pathbrite account. The information on how to do this is under the Pathbrite folder found in the link above.

Each one of you create a lego robotics blog. Spend today choosing a background for your blog and take pictures of the lego hand-crank. Upload at least one picture to your blog today and post it along with the answer to the following question:

6th Graders Only: 

Start your PBL project. All students are being directed to one of my other blogs. Click here to go to that blog and learn what the project is about. You don't have to share it like the rest of the 6th graders. However, you do have to make a project and upload it to TechYES.

Step#2 
7th and 8th Grade ONLY

The 7th and 8th grade Advisory projects have not started yet. As such, you will continue coding and doing other advisory lessons until it is time to split up and help run the projects in other classes. For this week, we will watch brainpops centered on issues of health and will code if time permits.
