Please note: If you are in charge of Christmas decorations, only 3 of you will continue today. I will tell you individually. College board will be done by only 2 of you today. I will inform you individually.

Some of you chose to make a college shirt or sweater but did not color it or cut it out. Feel free to get up and borrow scissors and colors. Finish this today as we are building the board today and tomorrow.


Find a college shirt or sweater with the Gaters logo. Trace it on a piece of white printer paper (ask me) and color it in. Cut it out and I will place some of them on the college board outside.

With iPads coming, we need to find useful apps that can be used by the whole school. Today, I want you to focus on finding at least 3 apps that would be good for this class, advisory!

Continue working on your College Board Essay. Make sure you shared it with me. Due Date: November 21st. After that, your grade starts dropping.

OR

2. Find a college shirt or sweater with the gaters logo. Trace it on a piece of white printer paper (ask me) and color it in. Cut it out and I will place some of them on the college board outside.

Digital Agenda for November 13-14th

Step#1
Continue working on the new college board. We have the University of Florida (Gatorade was invented here!). 

Use your iPad and/or computer to create a research report on the University of Florida. You can click here to go to the official school site. See below for the details of what your research report needs.

Step#2
Create a Google Document in a research report format. See below for details:

Paragraph 1- Explain where the school is and some of the history. Use at least 2 sources to construct this paragraph. Make sure to cite whenever you are using information from a website.

Paragraph 2- Explain what majors are offered at the school. Go in to detail into 2 or 3 majors explaining what these majors are in detail. Also mention any sport programs or extra curricular clubs or activities. Cite if borrowing any work from a website.

Paragraph 3- Write about the pros and cons about attending this school. For example, one con might be the size of the school. 

Paragraph 4- Write a conclusion paragraph that summarizes everything you mentioned in paragraphs 1-3.

You are going to help me design the new STL shirt. Create a Google Drawing and design an image/logo that we can use for our STL shirt. We will vote on the best design later next week (depending on how many of you are done). Everybody gets an advisory grade so everyone makes a design (even if your design might not be chosen). 

Please Note: Don't copy somebody's design! Create something unique or tweak a popular image and make it your own.
